The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent international non governmental non profit organization, founded in 1993 by representatives of environmental entities, researchers, forest engineers, sellers of forest products, indigenous communities, workers, industries and institutions from 34 countries.
The FSC seal is a guarantee of origin. It testifies that the wood, or the prime material of forest origin used in a product, comes from forests managed ecologically correctly, socially just and economically viable.
